Finance Manager

Reports to :   Director of Finance
Location(s):   Bloomfield Hills, MI

Summary:
Responsible for providing financial analysis and planning to management.  Manages weekly forecasting and annual budget processes. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Updates weekly consolidated financial forecasts.
• Leads weekly forecast calls and provides minutes to interested parties afterwards.
• Creates monthly cost center statements for company-wide management each month.
• Manages staff analysis of results and publication of standard monthly reports.
• Manages headcount and rebate reporting requirements.
• Takes a lead role in the annual Budget process as directed.
• Proactively drives process improvement and cost saving opportunities and helps implement workable solutions.
• Leverages internal systems to drive automation of reporting needs.
• Assists in creating presentations on the financial status of the organization.
• Assists with financial due diligence for acquisitions.
• Assists remotely located financial staff as required.
• Ensures integrity and effectiveness of finance team.
• Other special projects as required.

Key Performance Indicators:

• Accuracy of monthly and rolling 3 month forecasts.
• Timely submission of financial results and effective resolution of their queries.
• Overall company performance against budget.

Computer Skills:

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office required.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• CPA required

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills and experience applying these skills to improve processes.
• Excellent communication skills - oral and written presentation abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines, simultaneously handling multiple projects.

• Comfortable working alone as well as in a team.
• Self starter with initiative and strong interpersonal skills.

Education and/or Experience

• Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field
  • MBA desirable
• Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years work experience in a planning/analysis role.
  • Proven experience with financial analysis and monthly reporting.
  • May consider an equivalent combination of education and experience.
