From their humble beginnings in 1996, one restaurant, based on a small Parisian Café, has evolved to a dynamic growth company with more than 100 restaurants in 16 states and the District of Columbia. Their story continues to unfold as they open and plan many new restaurants across the country and delivering their promise that Cosě = Taste, in both food and attitude.
The Challenge
For several years, Cosi utilized the services of an ASP that owned the financial application licenses and application platform that Cosi was using to run its business. With the pending financial failure of the ASP looming, Cosi’s financial data crucial to the day-to-day running of the business would soon be inaccessible. Additionally, many other important systems (e-mail, file/print, network) would also be affected. Cosi needed to replace the ASP quickly, without interrupting service to its end users. Cosi also needed to reduce risk.
The Solution

Today, Logicalis Managed Services monitors and manages Cosi's leased HP-UX servers running Oracle Financials, WAN gear, storage area network, and 9 Windows servers running other applications including Cosi's Microsoft Exchange environment. Cosi was able to eliminate the single point of failure they had experienced with their ASP, thereby significantly reducing risk while receiving best-in-class service.
