LOGICALIS ACQUIRES $100 MILLION U.S.-BASED HP ENTERPRISE END-USER BUSINESS FROM AVNETLogicalis increases its U.S. revenue and HP market position.
Bloomfield Hills, MI – January 9, 2006 – Logicalis, Inc., a global provider of high-performance technology solutions, today announced that it has completed its acquisition of Avnet Partner Solutions’ U.S.-based HP enterprise end-user business. Avnet Partner Solutions, Americas, is a division of Avnet (NYSE:AVT) and value-added distributor of enterprise servers, storage, software and services. With annual revenue of approximately $100 million, the Tempe, Arizona-based division is a leading HP solution provider. Avnet’s HP enterprise end-user division is recognized for its Wintel-based server consolidation practice and is one of HP’s top enterprise partners.
The agreement is the latest of a series of deals concluded as Logicalis continues to augment its existing offerings and extend its geographic coverage in the U.S. to better serve its customers, ranging from small and mid-sized businesses to large enterprises.
“The acquisition of Avnet’s HP enterprise end-user business significantly strengthens Logicalis' partnership with HP,” said Mike Cox, president and CEO, Logicalis North American operations. “This acquisition increases our ability to offer enterprise computing, storage and network solutions and services including application integration, data and enterprise management and managed services. It will also add scale to the Logicalis U.S. business, increasing annualized revenues to over $450 million.”
This is the latest move by Logicalis in its global business growth strategy to deliver secure, converged computing and communications infrastructure and services for organizations looking for a competitive advantage through the use of technology - particularly in the HP enterprise server and storage arena.
