Subscription replaces the previous model of perpetual licenses.
Each subscription now includes support from VMware for the duration of the subscription itself: no longer licensed as a separate product.
Existing clients who have already paid for support for their perpetual license will continue to be served by VMware support until the expiration of their current service contract term.
